Married students and overseas students with families
University accommodation for married students, especially those with young families, is not always available. Finding a suitable place to live can be particularly challenging if you are an overseas student travelling with a family.
We would recommend that you do not bring your spouse and/or children to Belfast until you have secured suitable accommodation.
We will do our best to provide new students with a single room in university accommodation while looking for appropriate family accommodation.
Support
Please contact us before you arrive as we will be able to offer help and support. The University has a limited number of self-contained flats for staff and postgraduate students and demand for these can be high. Information about the properties can be found in the section ‘Staff Accommodation’.
Please contact us as soon as you know your arrival date into Belfast to discuss your requirements for accommodation. If we do not have anything available or suitable then we will support you in finding alternative accommodation in the private rental sector close to the University.
